La Palma is located at the northwest of the Canary Island group. It's one of the smallest islands and has about 90,000 inhabitants. It has the highest rainfall of all the Canary Islands. It's also one of the world's most mountainous Islands. Its highest peak - Roque de los Muchachos, reaches up to 2,426 metres.
With its spectacular green vegetation and its extraordinary pure bright blue skies it's known as La Isla Verde - 'the Green Island', or La Isla Bonita - 'the Pretty Island'.
